Privacy Policy

In short: your academy owns and controls your data; WatanAMS just hosts it for them. Access is locked to your own academy. We don't sell data or use it for advertising. Full details below.
Who controls your data

Your academy, not WatanAMS. They decide what to collect and are responsible for any consent required. We just provide the platform and process data on their behalf.

What we collect
  • Account: name, email, hashed password.
  • Students: name, father's name, DOB, tazkira number, contact, addresses, photo, academic and payment records.
  • Teachers: name, contact, address, qualifications, employment status, photo.
  • Security: login session activity, used to flag unusual account activity.

Photos are cropped/resized in your browser before upload. The original never leaves your device.

How it's used

Day-to-day academy operations (enrollment, attendance, exams, payments, scheduling), printed/QR-verifiable ID cards, reports your academy's staff request, nightly backups, and basic account security monitoring. Never sold, never used for advertising.

Who can see it
  • Your academy's staff: only their own academy's data, never another academy's.
  • Teachers/students: only their own classes/records via self-service portals.
  • Platform staff: only for support or backup/recovery, never for unrelated purposes.
Storage & retention

Passwords are one-way hashed, unreadable by anyone including us. Photos and backups are private, never publicly accessible by URL. Backups run nightly and are kept on a limited rolling basis. Records are kept while an academy's account is active.

Children's data

Many students are minors. Academy administrators are responsible for obtaining any required parental/guardian consent before entering a minor's information.

Your rights & contact

To access, correct, or delete your data, contact your academy administrator first, they hold your records. Otherwise, reach us at privacy@example.com (placeholder, replace before launch). We'll post any changes to this policy here with an updated date above.
